The PR450 and R450 phototherapy radiometers measure the irradiance from neonatal phototherapy fluorescent and metal halide discharge lamps.

These should not to be confused with Macam's range of ultra violet radiometers used for the measurement of ultra-violet phototherapy lamps.

PR450 Radiometer

The PR450 phototherapy radiometer comprises of a microprocessor controlled display unit with key switch control and large numerical display.

The detector assembly has a photodiode detector with optical coloured glass filters to give a spectral response peaking at 450nm, the optimum wavelength for the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia. A cosine corrected diffuser input assembly ensures the radiometer responds accurately to the position and angle of the light sources.

R450 Radiometer

The R450 phototherapy radiometer was replaced by the PR450 phototherapy radiometer in November 2000.
